Kids In Need Foundation helps create equitable learning spaces through the distribution of supplies and resources, investing in teachers and students in underserved schools. A national organization, Kids In Need Foundation has coast-to-coast reach and a model of working with local partners. This strategy includes taking a closer look at community dynamics to efficiently identify, connect with, and serve the individual schools, teachers, and students eligible for our programs. 

Kids In Need Foundation is the only national nonprofit focusing on the nation's most under-resourced schools: those where 70 percent or more of the enrolled students are eligible for free or reduced-cost meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). This data is compiled by government agencies through annual metrics which determine whether children are at risk for food insecurity.  Nationally, schools with high NSLP enrollment receive significantly less funding annually, are chronically under-resourced, and disproportionately serve students of color.
