The Kirk O’ The Valley School was created in 1962 as a preschool that utilized the facilities of the Kirk O’ The Valley Presbyterian Church. It thrived for many years in that form until it was determined that a community need justified a staged expansion to fifth grade, allowing children a consistent preparation for middle school. For over 40 years the school has provided a quality alternative to public education in the greater San Fernando Valley area.
Mission Statement
Our mission at Kirk O' The Valley School is to offer our children these gifts:
- A love of learning
- A knowledge of their world
- The thinking skills necessary to understand and apply their knowledge
- The communications skills necessary to effectively express what they know
- An understanding of themselves and others as unique individuals
We guide our students as they use these gifts to experience the joy of success and discover their own meaningful place in our world.
