Our Sacramento club is a service organization with local roots dating back to 1948, but also part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one community and one child at a time. Our members devote many, many hours volunteering on community service projects in the greater Sacramento area to help serve and support our youth. We mentor and offer support to seven high school Key Clubs, with over 500 student members, who learn leadership skills through volunteer activities in the community. We also sponsor and support Babcock Elementary’s club with 150 grade school students. Additionally, our club actively supports the Kiwanis Family House. This facility provides temporary housing and support to families of seriously ill or injured children and adults being treated at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
