KNOX's mission is: "Connecting and empowering our communities to grow a greener, healthier Hartford." KNOX serves Hartford residents through community greening programs. Key programs include managing and maintaining community gardens, providing young adults with green jobs skills, teaching children environmental education, training beginning farmers to start farm-based businesses, and planting hundreds of trees annually throughout the city.
