Knoxville Leadership Foundation (KLF) has been connecting the greatest needs in our city with the resources necessary to see people and communities thrive for over twenty-five years. Every city has resources in churches, government, business, education, neighborhoods and individuals. No matter whether they’re public or private, we can do more together than we can apart. That’s what “weavers” do, we take all the strands in a city including the communities of great need and weave them together creating platforms where our city is transformed. The last few years have created significant challenges for our community – increased homelessness, poverty, and lack of community. For over 30 years, we have served marginalized and vulnerable residents, due to a lack of education, employment, or resources necessary to overcome challenges. Our programs target four areas: mentoring for children with parents in prison, workforce development for at-risk young adults and adults, housing for the working poor and homeless, and home repairs for the low-income elderly and disabled.
