Our mission is make life better for medically complex kids and the people who love them. Our motto is "Kourage: strength in the face of grief or pain."
Our organization was inspired by our parenting journey with our son, Karter. Due to an unexpected birth injury, Karter has a severe form of severely palsy and shortened life expectancy. Still, his life is full and gives the gift of perspective to all he encounters. Karter's life and our story is the epitome of this word, as we have already overcome so many challenges.
Navigating the world of medical complexities is difficult. There are so many gaps in the systems that families like ours rely upon to "do" this life. We want to help fill in the gaps, and make things better for families like ours.
