Lakewood Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is a long-term residential treatment center for adults with chronic mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, severe depression, schizophrenia, generalized anxiety disorder and schizoaffective disorder.  Located in Central Florida, Lakewood Center is the only non-government funded, not-for-profit, long-term residential treatment facility for adults with chronic mental illness.

For the past 52 years, La Amistad Foundation’s Lakewood Center has served the Central Florida community, and beyond.  As a nationwide leader in long-term residential treatment for adults living with chronic mental illness, Lakewood has lived up to its mission of enhancing the quality of life for its adult residents while maintaining their dignity and independence.
