The CalWORKs Counseling for Kids program goal is to provide countywide children mental health services to promote family stability and self-sufficiency. Treatment services focus on addressing the symptoms and/or behaviors that the child(ren) is exhibiting which impacts the parent/caregiver's ability to participant in Welfare to Work activities (ex. seeking and/or maintaining a job; seeking and/or maintaining education, etc.) and helping to support the child(ren) and parent(s) to learn ways to cope with identified mental health challenges/behaviors.
