Founded in 1952, the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA is a non-profit organization for parents with children living in the Lakewood area. Its mission is to enrich the lives of East Dallas neighborhood children by developing relationships among families and supporting local schools. In addition to fundraising, the LECPTA offers friendship and support to other preschool families by providing fun, educational, and social opportunities.  LECPTA also offers programs promoting effective parenting and happy families. We support our local schools by providing financial support for education programs, school equipment, and supplies for Lakewood Elementary, J.L. Long Middle School, and Woodrow Wilson High School through proceeds from the Lakewood Home Tour.
