Lakewood-supported programs and initiatives over the past year included:
• Food programs delivering more than 16,000 meals to nearly 1,000 adults and 600 children.
• The Reach Out and Read program providing free books to children during well-child visits.
• Free infant car seats given to families whose babies were delivered at Lakewood.
• A new six-passenger golf cart for the Lakewood Care Center allowing residents to take a ride
outside to enjoy the weather and the Staples community.
• A new screened-in gazebo offering residents a wonderful space to enjoy
