The National Latino Peace Officers Association, Sacramento County Chapter, was established in 1972. The NLPOA’s philanthropic mission is to develop resources used to provide scholarships to increase educational opportunities for individuals committed to giving back to the community. As the cost of tuition, books and living expenses continues to rise, it makes it much more difficult for students to pursue their academic dreams. The Sacramento Chapter has provided thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving students from various cultural backgrounds in the greater Sacramento area.
