Lawrence Woodmere Academy (LWA),is truly is a marvel of a school.  LWA was founded in 1912, located in suburban Long Island, 18 miles from Manhattan.  We are a Preschool through 12th grade school with students from 51 zip codes, 18 school districts, as well as international students from various countries.  Guided by the pillars of “Veritas, Integritas, and Servitium” or “Truth, Honor, Service” in all that we do as a school community, we serve to foster these values both in and out of the classroom to ensure that every LWA graduate is “at home with the world.”  It’s a special place, a small school with a huge heart. 

LWA has gone through many interactions and transformations, but at its core, it is a beautiful and committed community that prioritizes students and relationships above all.
