The League of Women Voters of Texas is a nonpartisan political organization that empowers voters and defends democracy. We encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government, and we seek to influence public policy through education and advocacy. We prepare and distribute Voters' Guides, support voter registration and participation drives, and help to host the website vote411.org, where voters can access reliable, customized information about elections, candidates, and issues. LWV is the oldest, largest, and most trusted grassroots civic organization in the country. We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the confidence to participate.
