The Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enriching the educational experience for Leander ISD students and staff by providing opportunities, cultivating success, and building community within the Leander Independent School District. LEEF believes in a future where the needs of all Leander ISD students and staff are met.

LEEF was founded in 2007 by a group of volunteers who understood that state funding was not enough to meet the needs of LISD students and staff. They knew additional resources were critical to support innovation, enrichment and equity in pursuit of academic excellence throughout the district. What began as a $17,000 foundation is now a $630,000 foundation with a five year vision to become a $1,000,000 foundation.

LEEF funds a variety of district programs and student services including classroom grants, student assistance for Advanced Placement (AP) exams, dual credit textbooks and electronic device rentals, STEM, and college coaches dedicated to helping students at every high school campus navigate the college enrollment process. Project graduation, reading initiatives, mental health services, fine arts and entrepreneurial programs, such as INCubatoredu are also supported.
