· 130 low-income veterans
· 980 seniors
· 972 individuals with disabilities
Legal Services of Northern Virginia addresses the critical civil legal needs of low-income residents. Many residents are facing a life crisis such as eviction, job loss, illness, violence in the home, or other life-altering events. LSNV is a lifeline in a time of crisis. For those unable to afford an attorney, access to justice is limited. That is why Legal Services of Northern Virginia is crucial. For more than 44 years, LSNV has been providing free legal assistance to low-income Northern Virginia residents. We take pride in: (1) Advocating for fairness in the justice system; (2) Protecting the rights of our clients in the areas such as family, housing, consumer, education, employment, and public benefits; (3) Defending access to services for people of all background, including children, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, the elderly, and those living with disabilities; and (4) Fighting for racial justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion both within our organization and for our clients and the communities we serve.
