Mission: To be the partner of choice in advancing disability inclusion.
Vision: We envision a world where disability inclusion is the standard.
For 60 years, Lifeworks has partnered with people with disabilities to create innovative and person-centered solutions for careers, daily activities, community engagement, and in-home services.
In order to serve people with disabilities and their families across the state of Minnesota, Lifeworks offers Self-Directed Services (processing program-related documentation and navigation to direct their own services and supports), Employment Exploration, Development, and Support Services (connecting people to experiences that explore their interests, develop skills, and start or advance their careers), Day Support Services (opportunities to explore each person's interests, develop skills, and build community connections), and Disability Inclusion Trainings (facilitated community conversations, disability inclusion workshops, and free navigation sessions).
Lifeworks recently revamped mission "to be the partner of choice for advancing disability inclusion", and vision of a world where disability inclusion is the standard, reflects our commitment to centering the lives and perspectives of people with disabilities in the pursuit of a more equitable, accessible, and inclusive world. In the coming months, Lifeworks will continue to deepen our relationships with underserved communities. We are building a community of practice to develop a disability inclusion assessment and technology solution for the benefit of all Minnesotans, and we are launching Lifeworks Centers for Disability Inclusion, creating a physical presence in target communities where our services are desperately needed. Lifeworks impacts over 5500 people annually and serve clients in 63 of the 87 counties across Minnesota. In addition to core services, we offer navigation services, educational sessions, and disability inclusion trainings to thousands of Minnesotans to help improve access, raise awareness, and advance disability inclusion across our state.
