Our mission is to provide hardship services and support to single parents with low-to-moderate income and the youth in our communityby offering and empowering positive changes in financial behaviorto exit poverty and streghnthen self-sufficiency through financial literacy workshops for parents and their children. While there are many resources for the unemployed Lift the Burden targets single employed parents working check to check with little room for financial emergencies. We offer hardship services and support to reduce the stress and avoid depression that often comes with being employed but not able to sustain. Rent, food, and utility payment assistance, bus passes and other services.
