Lionel’s Legacy was founded in 2012 and is a registered 501c(3) charitable non-profit in the state of California.
Lionel’s Legacy was named after Lionel, a homeless senior dog who entered our lives and shed light on the systemic dilemma of caring for aging pets. Lionel’s Legacy is an all volunteer organization relying
on dedicated volunteers and donors to continue our mission of saving senior pets!

What we do:
Lionel’s Legacy works with local shelters and pet owners who are unable to care for their aging pets. Foster families open their homes and hearts while we provide necessary food, supplies, and medical care.
Some of the reasons aging pets are surrendered include:
-Pet owners moving
-Losing a job or housing
-Expanding families
-Owners pass away, or require
assisted care for themselves
-Unable to afford care
