Lions Camp Tatiyee’s (LCT) provide special needs youth with life-changing summer camp experiences promoting their emotional health, independence, self-esteem, and confidence, entirely free-of-charge. For over 60 years, LCT has delivered on this mission, providing services to 450 campers each season. LCT is the only entirely free summer camp for special needs individuals in Arizona and the only camp to focus exclusively on improving mental and emotional health.
LCT conducts 8 one-week sessions each summer according to the ages and disabilities of the communities we serve. Sessions last 6 days and 5 nights, providing campers with a life-changing summer camp experience, allowing them to partake in adventure programming, educational curriculum, and empowerment activities. LCT offers the special needs community a supportive space to challenge their perceived limitations and become more independent, confident, and happy.
LCT serves campers aged 7+ who live with learning, developmental, physical disabilities, and vision-related disabilities We also serve those with autism and those who are deaf. The camp serves statewide in Arizona, with most coming from the Phoenix metro area. Campers are demographically diverse, and exclusively come from low-income households.
