We are a non profit foundation dedicated to providing comfort to courageous individuals battling cancer.
After being diagnosed at the age of 20, admidst her own battle with ovarian cancer, Lisa Loonstyn-Golden launched a crusade in the name of fighters everywhere. She believed that no one should fight alone, so with the help of her family and friends, Lisa's Army was formed. The organization is dedicated to comforting men, women and children with cancer. The goal of Lisa's Army is to make a difference in the world just like Lisa was able to accomplish in her time with us. Now, we continue to fight in her name.
Lisa's Army provides personalized Comfort Care Packages to those battling cancer. The packages include: iPad Air or Beats Headphones, journals, puzzle books, crayons, coloring books, and many othoer items to make the individuals going thru treatment as comfortable as possible. This was the wish of Lisa and everything in the package is what Lisa took with her to treatment. We also put in the packages, homemade inspirational cards and scrolls.
We have given out over 700 comfort care packages up to date and each package is valued at over $600 but is priceless to the recipient. They are given at no charge.
