Literacy Delaware is the only statewide nonprofit that provides 1:1 tutoring and small class instruction, at no cost, to adult learners.

· 35% of adults in Delaware read below a 6th grade reading level (think: The News Journal)
That’s over half of the population of Delaware! Last year 200 learners came through our program. Funds raised will help train new tutors and offset curriculum expenses; giving us the ability to serve more adult learners in Delaware. Adults with increased literacy skills are more likely to find meaningful employment, support their children’s education, and become more engaged in the community.
