The Little Canada Elementary PTA supports our "two schools, one community" model. We have 50% Spanish-speaking families in our Spanish immersion school as well as an array of diverse cultures in our neighborhood school. We are a Title 1 school which means that 40% or more of the school is at or below the poverty level. We celebrate and work to support our unique school community.
Our all-school Pumpkin Carnival and Silent Auction goal is to raise $15,000 through community and business sponsorships, the sale of game tickets, raffle prizes and silent auction purchases. Instead of asking students to sell items, which is not feasible for many families, we have opted for this fundraiser to support a wide variety of education enrichment including artist in residence program for all 5th/6th graders, family community events, teacher appreciation week, cultural ambassadors from abroad, new books, field trips, art supplies, school plays/assemblies, technology assistance, maker space materials, and teacher grants. Our partners will be recognized in a variety of ways including signage, social media, and highlights in our school’s newsletter. This event typically draws more than 500 people! Any and all support is greatly appreciated.
