We are a midsized school located in rural Southern Maryland, about 60 miles south of Washington, D.C. Little Flower School was the first Catholic school in St. Mary’s County, opening in 1887. Over the years, the school has grown from a small wooden building with a single teacher to its current facility built in 1957, offering grades Pre-K to 8th grade and serving students from ages 3 to 14.

We, at LFS accept the uniqueness of each child and provide students with the opportunity to realize their spiritual and academic potential in a diverse and ever-changing world. We are celebrating 137 years of Learning, Faith, and Service this school year. Our school is rich in history, faith and traditions. LFS has expanded to include athletics, fine arts, and STEM in addition to the traditional curriculum.
