Little Lambs was started 29 years ago with an innovative idea from the Junior League of Evansville to reduce the incidence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome in our area. The Junior League brought together medical professionals to provide education in proper sleep positioning along with cribs and appropriate sleep garments to community families. As our organization began to grow and touch more families, we expanded our safety mission. We partnered with more service providers and began to stock additional safety items in our store to meet the needs of parents, includeing car seats, safety gates, diapers, wipes, breastfeeding supplies, bicycle helmets, sunscreen and more.
The parents that shop at our store have Little Lambs vouchers. They have earned these vouchers by participaing in programs and services that will benefit their children. We are proud to say that we have teamed up with over 30 organizations in Southern Indiana to provide Little Lambs vouchers for completion of "positive parenting acts', such as: prenatal care, nutritional education, parenting classes, developmental services for children with special needs, drug rehabilitation programs, high school equivalency test preparation, and many more. Our Little Lambs mission is to help connect parents with services they need to improve their lives and keep their children safe and healthy.
