Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center is dedicated to offering a broad range of arts opportunities and experiences to engage our diverse community.

The last year has been a challenging one for all of us, but particularly for performing arts venues. Our last live performance in our venue was March, 2020.  We are looking forward to our first live presentations in the Bankhead this summer and returning to full operation this fall.

The 2021-2022 Bankhead Presents Season returns the Theater to full operations, the Brilliance at the Bankhead Gala is the largest fundraising event of the year for the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center.  Proceeds support activities at both the Bankhead Theater and the Bothwell Arts Center, as well as our broad educational and cultural arts outreach activities. The gala event includes dinner and live music on the plaza before the show, as well as exciting live and silent auctions inside before the performance. We’ve just announced our star headliner for the Brilliance at the Bankhead Gala this September 11, 2021, Vanessa Williams will grace the Bankhead stage accompanied by the Livermore-Amador Symphony.

LVPAC is a non-profit organization that operates multiple spaces: the Bankhead Theater and the Bothwell Arts Community Center. We believe in the transformative power of the arts and serve as the heart of a vibrant cultural arts community.  Presenting arts programming is not possible through tickets sales alone. Your generous support of our “Brilliance at the Bankhead” Gala will help us to:

•             Support a broad range of performances and arts activities together with our partner organizations

•             Bring world class performances to the Livermore Valley region through Bankhead Presents/rentals

•             Enhance STEAM opportunities for local schools and youth in the valley through partnerships

•             Provide public, free arts experiences to the Tri-Valley

LVPAC supports 10 Resident local arts Companies in our 2 facilities, without our support these organizations would not be able to produce their arts programs in the same way.

In addition to our mission providing performing arts, LVPAC has a robust educational program providing arts education opportunities to children in the Tri-Valley.

Our goal is to ensure that every student in the Tri-Valley is provided with an opportunity to experience the arts each year through educational activities. LVPAC presents performances at schools and at the Bankhead Theater and provides free monthly family events, as well as workshops and master classes with visiting artists. Portions of these activities are underwritten through generous contributions and matching gifts to our education fund.

Throughout the year, LVPAC funds a number of cultural arts programs, free family events, workshops and master classes, in-school performances, the East Bay Jazz High School All-Stars program, as well as helps subsidize $20 student tickets for all LVPAC Presents performances. Portions of these activities are underwritten through generous contributions and matching gifts to our education fund.

Arts is a key element to a well rounded education, but unfortunately arts funding has been cut over the years due to education budget cuts. LVPAC works closely with the local school districts to integrate the arts opportunities and augment what the schools provide.
