The war in Ukraine has abruptly forced families to leave their homes and seek refuge here in The United States. Many of us have been asking, “What can I do to help?” Our community has begun welcoming a devoted, gallant and resilient family of four into a Glenville, NY neighborhood. They fled their home under a Russian bombing attack, and their journey to the United States is nothing sort of a miracle. They are a source of inspiraction to all who meet them.
With the support of the Living Hope Christian Church, in Burnt Hills, neighbors and community members have established a charitable account to benefit this family, as well as other refugee families we are told will be placed in our area soon. The cost of resettlement is very expensive and the charity is looking to help lift some of the burden on these families starting their lives over.
Money raised from your generous donation will directly go to legal and immigraion fees, housing, general reestablishment costs, food, diapers, school supplies, and much more. The goal is to support these families while we help them to be self-sufficient and get back on their feet.
