London's Lymphedema Journey
Hello , I hope this finds you well.
Thank you for taking the time to talk to me today. We truly hZenWThe Dallas Cowboys can attend our annual awareness walk. We have found that the presents of positive role models help encourage our children battling lymphedema to keep going. We are hoping you could donate an raffle or auction item to our organization, that wouldbe used at our annual walk.

We are gearing up for our second annual Lymphedema Awareness Walk in Cedar hill. We are so excited!!! We would love for your company to have a table at our annual walk.
We would love for your company to help sponsor our event to make it possible for more children with lymphedema to receive the care and treatment they need.
If you could help with a donation of a gift card, that would be placed in our raffle this year, we would greatly appreciate it. Last year we had 75 attendees and we are hoping for that number to double.
I'm reaching out today asking for a donation to benefit Children with Lymphedema. Your donation will be used to support Children with lymphedema, medical supplies that insurance might not cover and/or trips for treatment. We will have a raffle of items and baskets. The money raised will be given to help treatment and awareness for children with lymphedema. Thank you for your support.
Last year our organization was able to provide resources to every family that came out to the walk. Three families received funding or supplies for treatment for lymphedema.

Lymphedema Awareness Walk

Hi my name is Tequana Clark, I'm reaching out to your company to ask for your help. I am currently working on Lymphedema awareness for children. My 12 year old daughter London, was diagnosed 4 years ago with lymphedema, this chronic disease causes swelling and pain to London's legs and feet. The medical system is not equipped to treat children or find a cure at this time. Research is underway, but as a parent, I want to help bring awareness to other families and maybe offset some of the cost of medical treatment. I am gearing up for a lymphedema awareness walk and community awareness events. We are reaching out to your company to ask for donations, to fill bags for our walkers and families. We can place your information in the bags and on tables at all events. We have an article in the focus daily news, search lymphedema if you would like more information. We would greatly appreciate your help.
Proper annual care for a pediatric patient mildly affected in 2 extremities likely consists of:
✳ Therapy with certified lymphedema therapist- $3,000. ✳ Short stretch bandaging supplies- $150-$250 a kit (2-3 kits a year)
✳ Custom compression garments- $750-$1,200 a pair (3-4 pairs minimum)
✳ Custom nighttime compression garments- $800-$2,000 a pair (1-2 pairs)
That's over $12,000 for a mild case not including hospital visits or specialist appointments.
