The Lone Star Corvette Club (LSCC), since its inception, has been active in efforts to better our community. One of the purposes of the Club, as established in our Bylaws, is to "promote community involvement through charitable activities."

Each year, the Club hosts a 2-3 day Corvettes-only event, the Lone Star Corvette Classic, at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to the enjoyment of beautiful automobiles and camaraderie, the event affords LSCC the opportunity to raise the funds that we give back to our community in the form of charitable contributions. The Club has two permanent charities, The National Corvette Museum and Speedway Children's Charities and two "Rotating Charities" that are chosen each year.

The 2022 recipients of the contributions from LSCC are:

  • Speedway Children's Charities: Since 1997, Speedway Children's Charities, Texas Chapter, has distributed more that $6.7 million in funding to children's organizations surrounding Texas Motor Speedway. Organizations in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties are eligible to apply for their annual grants.
  • National Corvette Museum: The Museum was established as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit foundation with a mission of celebrating the invention of the Corvette and preserving its past, present and future. The museum is a living, growing organization inspiring generations of Corvette enthusiasts through public tours and special events onsite and across the country.
  • Rotating Charity 1, TXFallenPD: TXFallenPD  Tribute began as a police bike race in Highland Village honoring the lives of Texas officers killed in the line of duty. Over the years it has grown into a community fundraising event benefitting the Texas Police Chief's Association's Foundation (TPCA) which provides monetary assistance to the families of Texas officers killed in the line of duty. Honoring those that have died in the line of duty remains in the forefront of their event. Highland Village is the largest donor to the TPCA Foundation as a result of the tremendous support from donors.
  • Rotating Charity 2, Mission 22: Mission 22 is a Veteran owned non-profit that started in 2013 by a couple former Green Beret's that got tired of watching their friends kill themselves. In 2013 we were losing 22 a day. Their goal is to raise awareness and help end Veteran suicide. They have several free programs to help Veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI. 87.5% of every dollar raised goes straight to the free programs. Everyone involved has a personal connection, they have either lost someone or suffer themselves.
