Throughout the more than 30-year history of the Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH), our staff and volunteers have provided comprehensive long term care to more than 15,000 men and women who so valiantly risked their lives in defense of our nation. Our residents come from all walks of life, represented all branches of service, fought in virtually every major conflict and share a common bond so profound few others will ever comprehend. Their service to duty, honor and country paved the way for the freedom and prosperity Americans enjoy today.
Our mission is to provide high quality and compassionate healthcare services to veterans and their families without regard for race, gender, religion, disability, age or national origin. We are committed to cultivating a place that any veteran is proud to call home.
