Our school is located in the heart of LA. We have many students from all over Central America and Mexico. The reason they choose this school is because we offer so many great things to get them started with their new life. Such as immigration counseling, ELD classes, van transportation, food, adults who actually care for them and many more wonderful and needed assistance. Usually these kids come from really bad proverty countries and come to the USA with a plan to better themselves and provide for their families. Some kids go to school during the day and go staright to work after school and don't get off till really late only to repeat that again the next day. Giving them no chance to enjoy their time as KIDS. Many of the students have never seen the beach for the first time and saw it with us at LAAAE and the memories they hold onto and the smiles on their face that day were priceless. It's makes you appreciate the things you have and where you were born.
Our main goal here at LAAAE is to make the BEST high school experience for each and every single one of our kids. LAAAE does many great things for stduents and not only students but alumnis and that's why 10 years later I'm still here as an employee now trying to also make it the best experince for students.
