LaFASA is the coalition agency that serves statewide sexual assault crisis centers through education, professional training, technical assistance, and community engagement resulting in safer, healthier, stronger, and better-informed communities throughout Louisiana. LaFASA also provides advocacy and legal services directly to survivors and cultivates prevention in our communities. LaFASA is committed to empowering survivors, engaging advocates, and changing systems and social norms to end sexual violence in Louisiana. LaFASA envisions a world free of all forms of oppression that enable rape culture and sexual violence. Survivors are the center of our work. We promote autonomy and self-determination, and support a survivor's informed decisions.

Awareness equals action. The action we is a statewide knowledge that sexual assault victims have counseling, legal services, post-assault examinations, brochures for a variety of cultures & languages, caring advocates, and a hotline with information for immediate care. Services extend to victims and immediate family members, as parents are very much affected when their children are victims of sexual violence. We also provide workplace sexual harassment training and Title IX advocacy to all Louisiana schools. ALL SERVICES ARE FREE OF CHARGE.

Our organization is building on the success of our first annual Denim Day event, which took place in April 2018. We are very excited that we will have our 2nd Annual Denim Day event on April 10, 2019.
