At Lowcountry Veterans, our goal is to provide transitional housing to homeless United States military veterans in the Charleston area. Through our partnership with the VA, we can house up to 300 veterans each year in a drug and alcohol-free environment.
In addition to lodging, we provide food and transportation services, while also facilitating volunteer, educational, and employment opportunities through our community network. By the end of their stay, our goal is to help each veteran find stable employment and permanent housing.
100 percent of every tax-deductible donation helps with our mission. We greatly appreciate any and all contributions.
Centrally located on James Island, our home has been recently renovated and restored with the help of our generous community and corporate sponsors. Through our partnership with the VA, we can provide up to 90 days of traditional housing for 16 veterans at a time on a 120-day rotation. We purposefully designed and decorated each room, providing a calming and uplifting environment. Our goal is to provide the means necessary for our guests to learn, heal, and grow so that after their stay they can transition to a new home and plan for financial success so they can then lead fulfilling and successful lives.
