Madera High School strives to provide an athletic environment that will enrich the student's overall educational experience. Our goal is to provide competitive opportunities that encourage lifetime activities, commitment, teamwork, and character development amongst all student-athletes that are consistent with Madera Unified School District. Our athletic programs firmly believe that all participants are students first and athletes second.
Madera High School is located in the Central Valley and Madera Unified is considered a low-income district. Many of our players come from single-parent homes and did not get to experience team sports outside of the school setting growing up. Each season we provide "spirit packs" to our players that include practice gear, a team sweat suit, and hat or beanie. We feed our players team meals weekly during season to make sure they feel nourished and use this time for team bonding. We make it a priority to provide not only an athletic experince for our athletes, but a safe space, sense of well-being, and a football family to belong to.
