The mission of Magellan is to prepare children to become forward-thinking, global citizens. The school’s curriculum
for our pre-to-middle-school programs ensures that children become bi-literate in English and Spanish and proficient
in Mandarin. In addition, children are also prepared to live and work in a globally competitive world, armed with a
firm grasp of academics and analytical thinking.
Now in its fourteenth year, Magellan has grown faster than any school in Austin’s history while achieving its
accreditation by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), a world-renowned international,
multidisciplinary program of education. This achievement by a not-for-profit education start-up is due to the efforts
of the passionate team of administrators, teachers, parents, and the support of community leaders such as yourself.
Each year the funds raised at the Gala allow us to provide an exceptional academic experience for our students by
enhancing our financial aid program, and campus facilities, expanding educational programs, and hiring and
retaining outstanding faculty.
