Magic Moments is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving children with chornic, life threatening illnesses who live or receive treatment in the state of Alabama. Our main goal while granting magic moments to children ages 4 - 18 is to watch their faces light up and create a sense of normalcy and joy despite the trails of everyday life that they endure. These children can choose to travel anywhere inside the continental U.S., go on shopping sprees, meet a celebrity, have a room makeover, and so much more! Each magic moment is unique to the specific child and it creates wonderful memories for their family. What sets us apart is our Beyond the Moment program. Once a child recieves their magic moment, they are then part of the family and can attend any of our events free of cost to their family. These include events like Professional Baseball games, an overnight weekend camp at Lake Martin Alabama, Breakfast with Santa, and so much more! These childnre and their families get to stay involved with us until the child turns 19, and after that we have many come back as volunteers! There is no down time between getting the childs application and sending them on the trip. If a child wants to travel a month after we let them know they are approved, we are able to make it happen! It is truly such a wonderful expereince for these children and has clinically proven to help them through their journey of their daignosis.
