Manavi is a New Jersey based South Asian non-profit organization dedicated to ending all forms of violence against South Asian survivors. Founded in 1985, Manavi was the first organization in the United States to address the unmet needs of South Asian women affected by violence.
Manavi provides culturally specific and linguistically appropriate services including, counseling, advocacy, 24-hour hotline, legal advocacy, support services, transitional home and more. As a direct service provider, Manavi strives to address both the immediate needs of survivors facing abuse and the long-term vision of establishing peaceful communities free from gender-based violence.
