Mansfield Elementary School Association (MESA) is raising funds to support its yearly activities. MESA is the non-profit parent organization that supports grades K through 5 at the Robinson and Jordan/Jackson Elementary Schools in Mansfield. During a typical school year, MESA’s contributions to the school include social events, educational programming, community outreach, school support, and grants for students, teachers, and the school as a whole.
Examples of programs and events supported by MESA:
Literacy programs:
Global Read Aloud: Fifth graders around the world read the same book within the same time period and participate in discussions about the book ($2,000)
Bookworms: Each student is gifted a book ($6,000)
In-school field trips: In the past, Discovery Museum, Museum of Science, New England Aquarium, Plimoth Plantation, Wingmasters presented to our students in their classrooms ($7,500)
Classroom support:
Teacher appreciation dinners, teacher gifts ($1,700)
Teacher grants, classroom supplies ($13,000)
Field days ($3,200)
Yearbook: Graduating 5th graders are gifted a copy ($3,000)
Social events:
Kindergarten welcome social ($600)
5th grade graduation ($500)
