The Manteca Fire Chief’s Foundation is a non-profit organization established to serve the unmet needs of the community. Our goal is to enhance the fire and life safety of our citizens, through prevention, education, and assistance. Key programs include:

 

Senior Smoke Detector Program

• This program is tailored for senior citizens with the Foundation providing and installing smoke detector or carbon monoxide detectors for their homes. The program has been a huge success, with the Foundation offering fire safety checks for senior residences.

 

Child Car Seat Program

• This program focuses on child safety and provides certified car seat technicians to install and evaluate child car seats. Car seat events have also been provided in which technicians evaluate and install child car seats, often replacing those that do not meet safety standards.

 

Fire Victim Assistance

• Our Foundation provides assistance to victims of structure fires by helping them acquire essential needs for their family as they go through the difficulty of dealing with the traumatic event that has altered their lives.

 

Bicycle Helmet Program

• Our Foundation provides free bicycle helmets to children in need.  Our volunteer members monitor for students bicycling to school without bicycle helmets and immediately provide this crucial safety tool on scene with a friendly reminder of the importance of bicycle safety.
