Our students with special needs at Manteca High School (MHS) are participating in one of two online reading intervention programs, Lexia or Reading Plus.  On average, they are reading 5 years below grade level. The goal is to get them to read at grade level, so they can be successful in high school and beyond. As you know, reading skills are needed to graduate high school, secure and maintain a job, be successful in college, and in life. At Manteca High School, we are committed to making the acquisition of these essential skills a priority for our students.

When students reach their individual goals in the program, we celebrate student success. In addition to incentives offered at MHS, we would like your help to motivate our students to progress in these programs by awarding students gift cards/coupons/vouchers/tickets/passes. This is where you come in. Any donation you can offer would be gratefully accepted.

Our students are still struggling to recover from the devastating effects of the school closure and distance learning because of COVID. This year, we are hoping that our students will continue to develop their literacy skills and close the academic skills gap created by COVID.
