Many Hands and Many Hearts (MHMH) is a nonprofit group serving all of Oregon through Lane County organizations. MHMH makes compassion quilts and provides them to local hospitals and clinics for distribution to patients under their care who are in need of comfort and support, to other organizations serving individuals, including children, who are in crisis to distribute to their clients as they deem appropriate, and to other organizations serving individuals in need as determined by the MHMH Board. While MHMH was officially established in November 2024, it has been actively serving individuals in need since 2023, partnering with other local nonprofits.
MHMH is currently supported by about 100 quilters from across the country who contribute completed quilt blocks, fabric, thread and other material support and by about 50 local quilters who assemble, quilt and bind the quilts. The number of both groups keep growing.
In 2024, MHMH provided 360 quilts that were distributed to infants, children, teens, adults, and veterans. It is our hope that with additional financial support, MHMH will be able to reach an ever growing number of members of our community in need.
