In 1971, Maple Hill Preschool, a 501c3 nonprofit parent run cooperative preschool was established. Since our establishment our mission has remained consistent; to provide affordable part-time programs for 3 and 4-year-olds for Castleton and surrounding areas, where all children have the opportunity to learn. With our affordability we have families from Rensselaer County, Columbia County and Albany County. Our passion and commitment in igniting a love of learning is unwavering.
Being a parent run cooperative our enrolled families run the "business". Specifically our business operations is led by our Board that consists of the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Chair of Registration, Chair of Administration and two Parents at Large (one for each class group). Our business continuity relies significantly on the fundraising efforts of parents, and the generosity of our local businesses and organizations.
Our well established history has been dedicated to providing children a program that is centered on kindergarten readiness, kindness and igniting an excitement to learn for our community’s youth. Our teacher's strive to instill a sense of excitement in all of our little learners. Excitement for the next project, next theme, next day and even the grade.
