Out of over 800+ Campaigns across the USA, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, our local San Angelo, Texas Campaign was recently named as our regions 2022 Campaign Coordinator of the Year by our National MARINE TOYS FOR TOTS Foundation. One of the reasons this was possible was because we exceeded the expected average of $.97 of every donated dollar raised to be spent only on purchasing toys and books for the children in need which we served in fourteen counties across the Concho Valley Area.
Each local Campaign across the country is either coordinated by volunteers or active duty MARINE or MARINE Reserve personnel. Our local Campaign relies strictly upon volunteers to organize and run it every year. Our primary source of receiving contributions is through concerted efforts by our Elf Committee to hold donation drives and various other events throughout the area as well as requesting/applying for any donations from any local businesses that are willing to assist us in providing for children in need throughout our area.
As we are not near any of the metro areas noted within this system, any additional assistance we receive from outside sources is greatly appreciated and frugally utilized to provide Christmas gifts for as many children as possible, who would not otherwise receive any.
