The Friends of Edmond Town Hall, formerly known as The Mary Hawley Society, is committed to bringing arts and humanities programming and events to the community at large while maintaining the historic Edmond Town Hall.

The Edmond Town Hall, on the National Registry of Historic Buildings, was once the town hall and community center of Newtown, CT.  Opened in 1930, the building houses a gymnasium, 500 seat theater where live music, dance recitals, musicals and plays, and movies are held, several office spaces and meeting rooms, a dance school, a thrift shop, a banquet hall with smaller stage and a commerical kitchen.

The Friends of Edmond Town Hall volunteer at live music events and comedy shows, and fundraise to renovate and update the 6 dressing rooms.
