Maryvale is Los Angeles’ oldest children’s charity founded in 1856 by the Daughters of Charity. Today, in our 168th year, we operate several programs to serve the community. 62% of the children we serve though our Early Childhood Education program receive subsidized care. Community Based Services provide mental health treatment for individuals up to 21 years of age. The Seton House program for unhoused mothers and their young children provides temporary shelter and a six-month program to help these families take steps towards a new future. Connections by Maryvale is our newest program, which provides both mental health and substance use disorder services to adolescents and young adults. Annually, Maryvale serves over 700 families through the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.
