MDE Schoool Boots and Brews

Mutation Brewing, Sandy Springs, GeorgiaMDE School's annual benefit is a lively event where parents and community leaders join together to raise funds for our non-profit special needs school. We expect 200 guests to attend the event. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to enhance our academic and enrichment programs for our students. The evening will include craft beer, BBQ dinner, silent auction, raffle, a Fund-a-Need appeal, and music by the Shadowood band.
MDE School is a not-for-profit school that helps children with special needs who cannot be successfully served in a
traditional educational setting. We assist our students to reach their full potential by providing individualized education,
enrichment, and life skills training in a nurturing environment. The school serves K - 12 students with varying disabilities, including, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, communication disorders, and learning differences. In addition, MDE School expanded in 2021 to offer MDE Vocational Academy to help students aged 16 and above transition into adulthood with life and vocational skills training.MDE School was founded in 2009 by Mindy Elkan, who
currently serves as the director.
