Meals for Vets is a nonprofit that operates solely on donations, fundraising, and grants. We serve Texas VETERANS 59 and under by
paying a mealprovider to deliver meals to VETERANS. We also serve VETERANS 60 and over if they have been wait listed, or have a
restricted diet that Meals on Wheels cannot provide, or if the VETERAN lives in an area that Meals on Wheels cannot serve. We like to
work with local meal providers in the VETERANS living area if possible, if we are unable to do so , we use a company called Mom's
Meals. Meals for Vets is partnered with 29 colleges across the state of Texas, so if a VETERAN is attending college they are able to eat
in the colleges cafeteria for free. We are also in the process of providing meals for not only the VETERAN, but the entire family.
To date Meals for Vets has provided over 205,000 meals for Texas VETERANS. When a VETERAN calls our office and is in need of
immediate food or other necessities, we do our best to try and assist the VETERAN in finding assistance with those necessities by
making phone calls and contacting resources in the area to make sure those needs are met. We ALWAYS do our best to go above and
beyond for our VETERANS.
Our staff are all either a VETERAN or VETERAN related in one way or another. We all strive to take care of our VETERANS. Our goal is
to feed as many VETERANS and their families as possible.
Meals for Vets is located in the Texas Hill Country of Fredericksburg Texas, about 70 miles west of San Antonio and Austin.
