The Memorial Villages Police Department was founded in 1977.  The mission of the department in partnership with the community is to uphold the constitution of the United States, enforce federal, state and local laws as well as protect the fundamental rights of all people. Our vision is to provide an safe quality of life for all citizens through proactive policing. The Foundation was created by the Department's members.  The Foundation serves as a platform to raise funds for the officers, dispatchers and civillians.  We use our funds to help other charitable organizations.  We donate to our fellow fallen brothers and sisters in Blue.  We participate in the Special Olympics - Law Enforcement Torch Run, and MAAD, Mother's against Drunk Driving - Walk like MAAD, to name only a few.

We supply supplies to the officers where the Police Department cannot fund, such as medical tourniquets for each officers duty belts.  We have a re-charge room where the officers can grab a cold drink and snack throughout the day, we have put in place a scholarship program for officers dependents.

We are able to go to the local schools and speak to children about safety, have lunch with students who would like to have an officer-buddy for the day.
