My name is Mariah McIntosh, and I am the Program Support Specialist with the Center for School Behavioral Health at Mental Health America of Greater Houston. Each year, we host a Youth Art Showcase in which we encourage conversation around mental health between youth and adults as well as promote art as a healthy coping mechanism and medium of expression.

We are in the process of planning our Annual Art Showcase. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated as your mission aligns with our vision of promoting youth creativity and stomping out mental health stigma.

Last year, we received over 300 submissions from Houston area youth ages 5-20 depicting how they have coped throughout the COVID pandemic, among other challenges, and it speaks volumes about youth mental health. The submissions are always incredibly inspiring, and we look forward to this year’s theme: What does Strength Mean to You? Please consider making a meaningful contribution.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and thank you for your time and consideration!
