The Mental Health Association in Indian River County is the only mental health agency in Indian River County that offers a Walk-In & Counseling Center that offers mental health screenings at no charge without an appointment. All services are free for children & Veterans. We provide a mental health program in 3 area Boys & Girls Club's which provided over 1200 psycho-educational interventions in 2021-22. We also served over 2400 students in 2021-22 through our School Violence & Suicide Prevention Program in Indian River County middle and high schools. The MHA continues to be involved in efforts to meet the needs of Veterans & First Responders in our community. We encourage Veterans & First Responders to seek mental health and peer support services at our Walk-In & Counseling Center, which is provided at no charge. We also have a free Meet Up Group every Wednesday night where Veterans can speak to a therapist who is also a retired Vet.
