Mentors Care connects adult volunteers to at risk high school students who are at risk of not graduating from high school. These pairs meet weekly to discuss 'talking points' to guide them. Mentors Care is in 15 North Texas school districts and serves about 350 students.
Our mentors are loving responsible adults living within our very own communities who are fully trained and equipped to address the unique circumstances of students and offer support to our valued educators. Students served in Mentors Care have better school attendance and better chances of going to college or a trade school. Our mentors engage students to consider: *why go to school?, *what does it cost to live?, *setting goals, *who influences you?, and *respecting others.
